Galera is Portuguese slang for crew, tribe, gang, close friends. All 6 portrayed professional surfers (less one) are of Brazilian origin. They had coincided in Uluwatu –the southernmost tip of Bali– where they drew in the water, trained, and shared life during the beginning of 2020. I was lucky to have met them, and to better understand the true meaning of being one with nature; water.

I wanted to capture their essence by keeping it as genuine as they were in such moment. Some could not stop laughing, as they are all quite high-spirited, and roughly ended echoing this through my lens. They are all amazing souls, and I am forever grateful to have shared such moments.
